The Witcher is coming back for season 2 on Netflix! Production on season 2 starts in early 2020, and also season 2 is expected to hit Netflix in 2021.

According to Variety, The Witcher starts production in very early 2020, so it starts filming quickly, and the new season is expected to hit Netflix in 2021. We still do not know when that will certainly be yet, however it’s mosting likely to be a some time.
Assuming everything goes well with production, we can see The Witcher season two anytime from springtime 2021 to late 2021. Based on the response to the series at San Diego Comic-Con and how much larger it will certainly be next time around, I’m hoping they save the series up until the fall or winter season of 2021. That would certainly be a good time to launch the new season.
Of course, that indicates that it will be almost 2 years from the premiere of the first season. That’s a long period of time for followers to wait, but realistically, I do not see this series having less than 18-month gaps in between seasons.
