Björn Ragnarsson or Bjorn Ironside is the King of Kattegat. He is the son of Ragnar and Lagertha and the oldest of Ragnar’s many sons. Although later it is revealed his uncle Rollo might be his biological father, Björn believes he is Ragnar’s son. He is the husband of Gunnhild (Heathen Army), was the third ex-husband of Torvi and father of Torvi’s only living child: Asa. Bjorn is Ragnar’s heir to Kattegat. After fighting in battle without receiving one wound or scratch, he garnered the famous nickname “Bjorn Ironside.” As of the end of season 5 with the help of King Harald Finehair, King Olaf and his younger half-brother Hvitserk Bjorn overthrows his evil younger half-brother Ivar and becomes King of Kattegat.
