Ragnar Sigurdsson, popularly known as Ragnar Lothbrok, was the main protagonist of Vikings until his death in Part 2 of Season 4. Ragnar was a restless warrior and former King of Kattegat. He claimed to be a descendant of the Norse god Odin–the god of slain warriors, but also the god of eternal curiosity. He was the father of Gyda and Bjorn with his first and ex-wife Lagertha and father to Ubbe, Hvitserk, Sigurd, and Ivar with his second wife Aslaug. He was the younger brother of Rollo.
